Auguste Renoir
Life and TimesAs a child, Renoir worked at a local porecelain factory, helping to paint the china. In his middle twenties he moved to
Paris to study under Charles Greyre, and so began his fantastic painting career. His best known works include 'La Loge', 'Le déjeuner des Canotiers', 'Les parapluies', and 'La Parisienne'. Though these are just a few of a profilic number. He spent the last part of his life racked by rheumatoid arthritis, only able to paint by strapping a brush to his hand.
