Paramore
Band BioAt school in Franklin Tennessee, Hayley Williams (vocals) made friends with brothers Josh (guitar) and Zac Farro (drums). Together they formed a band, and practiced after lessons in Williams' garage. Jeremy Davis (bass), and Jason Bynum (rhythm guitar) joined to fill out the sound. The name they chose for the band was Paramore. Soon they were playing live in venues around the Nashville area. At one of the gigs they were watched by the boss of the Fueled By Ramen label, John Janick. He loved the band, and persuaded them to sign up with him. Hayley was still just 16 (and the boys not much older).
The band started work on recording their first album All We Know Is Falling. Jeremy Davis then made the decision to leave the band, much to the dismay of the others. Despite the trauma, the album was completed and finally released in summer 2005. The band went back to performing, but everyone was still missing Jeremy. They pleaded with him to come back, and after six months apart, he returned to an emotional reunion.
Thee tracks from the album were released as singles, the first two with accompanying videos - Pressure, Emergency, and All We Know. The singles failed to chart, but achieved good airtime, helping to raise the profile of the band.
In late 2006, Paramore started their first headlining tour, selling out many venues right across the US. Returning to the studio early in 2007, they started recording their second album Riot. Hunter Lamber (rhythm guitar) left, and was replaced by Taylor York (who had known the Farro brothers at school). The album was released mid 2007, entering the Billboard top 20 in its first week. Singles off the album include Misery Business, CrushCrushCrush, both of which charted well. The song Hallelujah was also released, but in the UK only.
Early 2009 saw the release of the blockbuster Twilight, starring the very dishy Robert Pattinson. Paramore contributed two tunes for the move, including the signature track, Decode.
Later in 2009 Paramore wrote and completed their 3rd studio album 'Brand New Eyes". The first single off the album, 'Ignorance', was released in July 'brand new eyes' is titled 'Ignorance' and was released to an enthusiastic reception from fans.
