Three Days Grace
Band BioThree Days Grace began as Groundswell, a classic rock band that formed in 1992 in Norwood, Ontario, with a line up that consisted of vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer Neil Sanderson, bassist Brad Walst, guitarist Phil Crowe, and a secondary guitarist Joe Grant.
The band disbanded in 1995, but after 2 years, Gontier, Sanderson, and Walst regrouped under the name Three Days Grace. The band recorded the song "I Hate Everything About You", which attracted the interest of several record labels. The band eventually signed for Jive Records,
On the 22nd of July 2003, the band released their self titled debut album. On the back of the release, the band released the single "I Hate Everything About You", which recieved heavy airplay on the radio and is considered to be their breakout hit. After this, Barry Stock joined the band as lead guitarist in late 2003. The band then toured continuously for nearly two years in support of their major label debut.
On June the 13th 2006, after lead singer Adam Gontier had recently come back to the band from drug rehabilitation, Three Days Grace released their next album. It was titled One X and it was guitarist Barry Stock's recorded debut. The album peaked at number two on Billboard 200, selling 78,000 copies in the US in its first week of release. It eventually went on to becoming double-platinum.
After tours in support of the album One X, including touring alongside Seether and Breaking Benjamin. Three Days Grace released their third album on the 22nd of September 2009 titled, "Life Starts Now". It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, the highest position so far achieved by the band, and sold over 79,000 copies in its first week of release. The band are now planning to start a co-headline tour of the U.S with Breaking Benjamin, planned for early 2010.
