Cahoon Hollow, MassachusettsDescription A spectacular beach backed by moutainous dunes. On a summer weekend, you've got to arrive very early to find a parking space in the small sandy parking lot. The beach is not a favorite with swimmers, thanks to strong rip currents. So most stick to games of volleyball, making sandcastles or paddling in the shallows. As the day drifts on towards sunset, the Beachcomber, a popular restaurant/bar situated in the old Coast Guard station livens up. |
