Carolyn Murphy

When she was a teenager, Carolyn Murphy’s mom encouraged her to join up for modeling lessons. She quickly landed several local modeling assignments, and it was while out on a location shoot, that she was approached by an agent and offered work in New York. It proved a successful move, as Carolyn became a firm favorite with fashion designers, appearing both on the catwalk and in many high-profile shoots in magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar.

In 1999, Carolyn made here movie debut when she appeared in Liberty Heights, with a startingly good performance as ‘Dubbie the Blonde’, playing the dream girlfriend of one of a pair of dysfunctional brothers living in 1950s Baltimore.

A year later Carolyn became mom to a beautiful daughter Dylan Blue. After the birth, Carolyn juggled the pleasures of being a mom, with a keen keep-fit regime to get back in trim. The gym-work paid off when Carolyn jumped back into the modeling world, making quite a stir when she joined Elizabeth Hurley in fronting Estee Lauder’s promotional campaign. Many insiders thought that Carolyn’s recruitment indicated that a lack of confidence in Ms Hurley.

In February 2005, she was chosen to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. To quote Carolyn’s own words, “I never thought I'd make the pages of Sports Illustrated, because I've always been skinny. But after I had my daughter, I had hips, I had boobs..."
