Maria SharapovaBio At the early age of 4, Maria was given a tennic racket by Yevgeny Kafelnikov's father, and she immediately fell in love with the sport. At the age of 7, she moved to the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida, and the amazing talent she had was nurtured and fine-tuned. She joined the WTA tour in 2003, and just 1 year later won her first grand slam, Wimbledon. Maria has also taken the technique of exhaling sharply on ball strike to new noise levels! |
