Ben-Hur
PlotJudah Ben-Hur is a wealthy Jew who lives in 1st century Jerusalem. His childhood friend, Messala, a Roman, is appointed as tribune of Jerusalem. When a tile is accidentally knocked from the roof of Judah's house, nearly killing the Roman governor, Messala blames Judah. To set an example to all other Jews, Messala, ignoring any previous friendship, condemns Judah to be a galley slave. Judah swears revenge.
