Jerry Maguire
PlotJerry is a cut-throat sports agent, wheeling and dealing and making big bucks for his clients, his agency, and himself. But one day he’s appalled by the realisation that his whole world is dominated by enormous greed. He writes a memo to every employee suggesting the agency gives a better service to fewer clients for a more reasonable fee. The boss promptly fires him.
Before leaving the office, Jerry hurridly rings around his current clients, trying to persuade them to move to him, rather than stay with the agency. He gets tied up talking to Rod who won’t let him off the line. Meanwhile, Bob, his very competitive colleague, also on the phone, quickly calls round all Jerry's other clients and makes sure that they stay with the agency. As he leaves the office for the last time, Jerry makes an emotional appeal to all the other employees, asking if anyone of them would like to join his personal, friendly agency. Only Dorothy puts up her hand. A new partnership is born.
