Schindler's List
PlotIn the early stages of World War II, Poland has been quickly subjugated by the German military. One of the first actions of the occupying forces is to imprison the Jewish population into small urban ghettos. Oskar Schindler, a German businessman, arrives at the Krakow ghetto, and takes the opportunity to gain control of a (previously Jewish owned) enamelware factory.
Itzhak Stern, an experienced manager and accountant, is retained to manage the factory. Itzhak uses his position to help his fellow Jews. Schindler uses the situation to make a small fortune Then the barbaric SS officer Amon Goth arrives, and sets about organising the building of a huge forced labor camp. He issues orders to raise the ghetto to the ground. A horrified Schindler watches the terrible massacre. He determines, by any means possible, to save the workers in his charge.
