Stir of Echoes
PlotTom is a hard working telephone engineer living in Chicago, married to Maggie - they have a little boy Jake. One day the couple go to a party at Maggie's sister - Lisa. Late in the evening, the mood is boisterous. Tom and Lisa argue good-naturedly about hynopsis and the psychic abilities of the mind. Tom sceptically volunteers to be hypnotised by Lisa. Surprisingly he goes deeply under. Lisa makes the hypnotic suggestion that he opens his mind. Tom is eventually brought back to normality, but he's definitely very shaken. That same night, in bed in his home, Tom starts having visions - a violent struggle, and a horrifying face wrapped in polythene. Over the next few days, the images get worse. Tom desparately asks Lisa to hynoptise him again, so he can make sense of what's happening. Under hynopsis, Tom sees the word 'DIG'. Tom follows the instruction from beyond the grave.
