What Lies Beneath
PlotClare has an intellectual professor husband, Norman, and a teenage daughter. The family live in a trendy lakeside home. When their daughter leaves for college, Clare has extra time on her hands.
Clare takes a close interest in her new neighbours, a middle-aged couple. The wife, Mary, seems scared of her husband. Next Mary disappears, and Clare fears she's been murdered. And strange things start happening to Clare - like seeing the startling ghostly image of a woman's face in the water at the lake's edge. So she's convinced that Mary's spirit is haunting her. But Mary turns up alive and well. Clare has to look further to find a reason for the terrifying apparitions.
